A plan to address Infrastructure, Education, and Good Jobs are a high priority. Infrastructure

Infrastructure is critical to the continued growth of Rutherford County. From traffic that congests our roads to new road development that creates pathways for businesses, schools, and first responders, Randy Allen will work to improve and strengthen our transportation, schools, and technology infrastructure. As Randy listens to the residents of Rutherford County, he will use their input when working with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and those most effected to influence new road development and improvement.  As more people move to our county each day, a strategic vision for infrastructure development and improvement is needed. As Rutherford County Mayor, infrastructure will be a top priority for Randy Allen.

Education

Families love Rutherford County because we have incredible schools. However, with the influx of new families, a strategic plan to adapt to the changing educational landscape is needed. The state of Tennessee requires that a correct ratio of students to classrooms be met to avoid over-crowding. Unfortunately, we are already behind on this metric in some areas of our community. The education budget for our county will continue to grow. Randy believes that government should be accountable for every dollar received from taxpayers. It is important to keep our budget lean as we plan for future growth. In order for Rutherford county to remain a great place to raise a family, in the face of tremendous growth, we need more than just classrooms. Another high priority for Randy as Rutherford County Mayor will be to develop a plan that allows educational institutions to recruit top-notch teachers, upgrade technology, and prepare students for post-secondary success.

Good Jobs

Over 50,000 Rutherford County residents leave the county each day in order to work in other areas of our state. Randy has heard from many of those people that they would rather work closer to home if a comparable job was available. One of his main priorities is to work with the Chamber of Commerce, local businesses, and educational institutions to recruit new companies into Rutherford County, and develop the highly skilled workforce that those companies will need. Randy wants to develop a plan to keep our residents working in our community, and to give them a competitive advantage over outside competition. This benefits local businesses, reduces stress on existing infrastructure, and improves the quality of life for everyone. By working together with community leaders, Randy will strengthen existing relationships and build new partnerships that result in high wage jobs for Rutherford County.

Fiscal Responsibility

Randy is a life-long conservative who knows that we all want to keep tax burden as low as possible, while retaining the high-quality services we expect from our county. He believes government should be accountable for every dollar of revenue received from its citizens. Randy will lead efforts to identify inefficiencies and to find low cost alternatives that allow businesses to create jobs and residents to thrive. He will work diligently to modernize antiquated systems, promote transparency, and increase the level of professionalism in all areas of government. If fiscal responsibility and government accountability without elimination of services sounds like a good plan to you, Randy Allen is the candidate to vote for in the upcoming election for Rutherford County Mayor.
